Group Narrative

This is a quick group exercise I did with 2 other people, we had to create a basic narrative using what we had learned about the 3 act structure, Propp's character theory, and the hero's journey.

Note- This was not written up by me.

Hero : Saves a princess from the witch. Gets changed into >  Heroine: has to save the witch to get changed back.
The witch- Is quite nice, false villain/goddess.
Princess – Is actually a bitch.
Opens with the hero riding through his kingdom, on the way to capture the witch who has seemingly done something bad to the princess.
He catches the witch brings her back to town throws her in the dungeon to be burned the  next day. As he leaves she curses him ( only know the the viewer/ hero)
Wakes up the next day as a woman, goes to see the witch to see what has happened, ends up needing to break her loose and going on the run with her on a quest to undo the curse “If you don’t release me, your curse will never be undone” . As the narrative progresses the princess is revealed to be the true villain.
In the woods – night after the escape. everything seems hopeless, the witch presents him with a compass and says this will take you on a journey to undo your curse.
The journey consists of him realising what a chauvinist he was, he experiences life on the receiving end.
Challenge 1 – gets touched up by his fellow knights, but lets them walk over himshe.
Challenge 2 - Arrives at a burned down village where he finds a lone young girl.  discovers the princess is behind the burning over taxes.
Challenge 3 –  Saves a girl from being burned at the stake by mercenaries/bandits, gets into a huge ruckus and discovers they are actually the princess knights burning over taxes. He saves the girl to late and she dies in himshes arms.
Into act 3, goes in disguised as a serving lady to gain access to the princess, gets into the throne room – big reveal, princess tells guards to step back, goes bad ass and a big fight takes place.
Curse moves over onto the princess, turns her into a toad.
He becomes the knight he once was with a new found found benevolence, and he takes the little girl he found in as his own daughter. Waving to the cheering crowds, he spots the witch in a hood, she winks then fades away.
